Melvin is the Founder and Chief Coach of Mel’s Adventure School. With more than 12 years of experience as an outdoor educator and a leadership trainer, Melvin’s desire has always been to start his own Adventure School where he can equip children and youth with essential life skills for their own personal growth and development.

A remarkable leader, Melvin has helmed key leadership appointments in various youth organisations such as the National Cadet Corps, National Youth Achievement Award Gold Award Holders’ Alumni, Southeast Community Development Council’s Racial Harmony Youth Ambassadors, and Bartley Alumni (formerly known as the Old Bartleyans’ Association).

Some notable highlights of his life include leading a team of youth delegates to the APEC Voices of the Future 2016 that took place in Peru and representing Singapore in a bilateral youth exchange programme with Switzerland.  He was also given the opportunity to travel to Australia for an International Cadet Exchange programme.
